On yesterdays trip into Spain after the trip to the supermarket to buy cheap wine etc we went back into France over the Col to see the snow and take some photographs, we were reminded that even in this beautiful and peaceful area they is the threat of violence. At the junction up to the Coll there was a police roadblock with machine guns and shotguns ready to blow out the tires of anyone refusing to stop, the separatist group ETA operate both in France and Spain and is is not uncommon to see roadblocks on the Spanish side, only yesterday there seemed to be a lot of activity with police cars flying around everywhere. We tried to look as Un-Eta as possible and drove slowly by. Further up the snow was fresh and still pure white piled at the side of the road, we passed over the border and whilst decending into Luchon spotted this waterfall.
